Luke 7:1-10
He was not far from the house when the centurion sent friends to say to him: “Lord, don’t trouble yourself, for I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. That is why I did not even consider myself worthy to come to you. But say the word, and my servant will be healed. For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and that one, ‘Come,’ and he comes. I say to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”
When Jesus heard this, he was amazed at him, and turning to the crowd following him, he said, “I tell you, I have not found such great faith even in Israel.” Then the men who had been sent returned to the house and found the servant well.
Concluding prayer -The Pillar of the Cloud
LEAD, Kindly Light, amid the encircling gloom - Lead Thou me on!
The night is dark, and I am far from home - Lead Thou me on!
Keep Thou my feet; I do not ask to see the distant scene—one step enough for me.
I was not ever thus, nor pray’d that Thou Shouldst lead me on.
I loved to choose and see my path, but now - Lead Thou me on!
I loved the garish day, and, spite of fears, pride ruled my will: remember not past years.
So long Thy power hath blest me, sure it still will lead me on,
O’er moor and fen, o’er crag and torrent, till the night is gone;
And with the morn those angel faces smile which I have loved long since, and lost awhile.

Thank you all for praying for me. Remember also my husband Franco who looks after me so well despite the fact that he has many health problems. My mother, Mrs Jo Millar who was also a parishioner until she moved ealier this year to Meadbank Nursing Home in Battersey would also be grateful for your prayers
I think this is a lovely idea. To know we are supported by your prayers helps us to get through difficult times.
As a sick & suffering co worker of mother TeresaI am linked to Brother Lazarus Kerketta a Missionary of Charity who lives and works in Mumbai. I ask your prayers him too
God Bless
